One of the solutions NGE Inc. designed was the new 2.5 MGD Water treatment facility and Reservoir in San Juan, Tx.  This $2.8 million dollar project is a good example of cost conscious design for the short term, as well as the long term.  The reservoir was designed and tested for water retention and grading improvements made with the Integration of the overall design in mind.

At this facility a design that included a product that utilized gravity was implemented.

The design of this product eliminated the need for 3 pumps normally used in conventional systems.  A %20 power savings per year was realized, compared to conventional systems, as well as, savings in not having to pay for expensive maintenance, possible mechanical failure, and replacement for the extra pumps. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In addition, due to the low maintenance requirements, the number of employees required to maintain the facility was also reduced for an increased savings to the city.
